
Last weekend took place the second edition of the national hackathon on Artificial Intelligence, HACOBU, an event organized by our partners ITCL Technology Center and the University of Burgos, with the support of Burgos City Council, FAE Burgos, Fundación Caja de Burgos, Fundación Círculo Burgos, Digital Innovation Hub Industry 4.0 – DIGIS3.
The event brought together more than thirty participants from all over Spain, both students and professionals. For 24 hours, the teams worked on the development of innovative AI-based solutions, addressing practical challenges with potential impact in sectors such as engineering, health or energy.
This initiative aimed to boost AI training, attract talent and promote knowledge transfer to companies and institutions, in line with the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy.
HACOBU 2025 Hackathon Winners
In the professional category, brothers Jaime and Javier Escaño Cuevas won first prize. In the student category, the team formed by Alejandro de la Vega, Lucía Estrada and Enrique Sáiz was the winner. Both teams were awarded 2,000 euros.

In addition, Belén Lanuza, manager of DIHBU gave a presentation on the Hub and the services available from DIGIS3.
