Initial problem/ Challenge to solve

The SME ALPHA SYLTEC INGENIERIA SL, from Valladolid, needed support to generate a viable financing proposal to generate a prototype of an intelligent virtual assistant for industrial maintenance operations. The prototype included integration of generative artificial intelligence to assist the operator in real time.

The SME also needed to locate a partner who could provide the industrial scenario for testing under real conditions. The partner would provide the data corpus for the analysis, and participate in the execution of the test, testing the virtual assistant, and providing feedback on results.

Solution to the challenge/ Results

DIHBU provided SYLTEC with information on European cascading funding opportunities, and in parallel analysed potential industrial partners whose profile was suitable for participation in the test. DIHBU, through its services linked to DIGIS3, proposed the project to several industrial companies, and finally managed that the PROHIMA SME in Barcelona, with which it was already working on digitisation projects together with DIH4CAT, acceded to be an industrial testing scenario.

As a result, the SME made a proposal (AI-MODE) the open call 1 WASABI, which specifically sought proposals for application pilots of AI carried out by SMEs and Digital Innovation Hubs.

The proposal has been approved by WASABI, allowing SYLTEC to have direct funding for the pilot, with DIHBU as support DIH and PROHIMA as testing scenario.

The project is currently under implementation.
